Conferences and Workshops

UKHCA will continue to run its successful conference and event programme in 2016 . Workshops will include popular events such as medication and end of life care and we will add to this workshops requested by members as the year progresses.

Once again, we will be holding a number of HR workshops, such as recruitment and retention and performance management. In addition, we hope to run a number of business support workshops such as health and safety and developing the care business.

If there are other workshops you would like to see us host in 2016 or beyond, or to suggest a workshop topic and location please e-mail conferences@ukhca.co.uk. Whilst we can't promise to hold an event close to you, the programme will be developed based on the location of those who have expressed an interest in a course (provided our minimum numbers have been achieved).

Don't forget that all UKHCA organised events can now be booked by debit or credit card via our conference booking pages, just click on your chosen event date/venue combination.

Homecare providers are currently facing many challenges and with the appeal of local authority contracts dwindling, many are looking to the private market in order to ensure business survival and growth. However, many homecare providers, whilst excellent at providing care, have little or no experience of marketing their organisation to self-funding, private clients. Standing out from the crowd and showing your credibility is the key to success in the private sector. The purpose of this workshop is to support homecare providers to understand how to develop a consumer focused approach to their business and the processes required to achieve this. The workshop will be informative, strategic, but also interactive and thought provoking. The actions and understandings you take away will be entirely practical and usable within your organisation. Lunch and refreshments provided
