Media Release : Homecare Sector responds to delay of Independent Safeguarding Authority scheme - 15/06/2010News reports this morning anticipate Government announcing that the roll-out of the Independent Safeguarding Authority in England, Wales and Northern Ireland is to be halted and scaled back, pending a review. The public should be reassured that social care employers continue to be required to complete criminal record checks and checks against the lists of people barred from working in social care held by the Independent Safeguarding Authority.
