Skills for Care Project 2005/2006IntroductionWe received our allocation of Skills for Care units in May 2005. This current project will provide funding of £75 per induction and completed NVQ unit. AimsThe aim of this project is to provide support funding to member organisations to enable their workforce to achieve "units of competence". This will enable social care providers to meet the workforce development and training and education requirements of the National Minimum Standards MethodologyIn order to claim your organisation must have completed a partnership and workforce plan for 2005/06. Skills for Care have for the first time allowed an overlap in the claim period. Organisations are able to claim for completed inductions between 1st January 2005 and 17th March 2006. Similarly organisations can claim for completed NVQ units between 1st January 2005 and 17th March 2006. The process for claiming is sent to all member organisations after they have completed the partnership and workforce forms. Claims are submitted to Skills for Care on a monthly basis, the first claim being 31st July 2005. UKHCA are unable to settle your claim until Skills for Care have approved and paid the claim. Funding is allocated on a first come first served basis. Organisations that provided the partnership and workforce forms by 11th March 2005 receive priority for the first two months of the project (June and July) Details01/04/2006UKHCA has secured Skills for Care funding for the previous three years.
