Guidance about Compliance, Essential standards of quality and safety England

The Care Quality Commission regulates adult social care providers and NHS trusts in England. All adult social care providers will have to re-register with the Care Quality Commission between April and October 2010 to state their compliance with the new Essential Standards for Quality and Safety. The Essential Standards replace the Domiciliary Care National Minimum Standards in England and they must be adhered to by providers who are providing a regulated activity.

National Minimum Standards for Domicillary Care Agencies in Wales Wales

The Care and Social Services Inspectorate for Wales regulate social services, social care and early years agencies in Wales. They ensure that providers are meeting the National Minimum Standards for Domiciliary Care Agencies set by the Welsh Assembly Government.

National Care Standards, Care at Home Scotland

The Scottish Commission for the Regulation of Care regulate adult and child healthcare providers in Scotland. They ensure that providers are meeting the National Care Standards which were set by the Scottish Government.

Domicillary Care Agencies, Minimum Standards Northern Ireland

The Regulation Quality and Improvement Authority regulate adult social care in Northern Ireland against the National Minimum Standards for Domiciliary Care Agencies which were created by the Government of Northern Ireland.
