UKHCA Training and Assessment Centre
About the Assessment Centre
The UKHCA Training and Assessment Centre was created in 2003 to help employers meet the National Minimum Standards by providing them with cost effective vocational qualifications and associated training.
The Centre has helped more than 500 care workers to gain a nationally recognised qualification and has consistently retained completion rates of over 80%.
Aim
To provide a range of training services which meet the specific needs of the domiciliary care sector, i.e.
Promoting Quality
The Centre strives to deliver a quality service, designed around the needs of the individual learner. Training is delivered at times and places which meet the needs of a predominately part-time work force, who are often unable to attend traditional college hours. It has been this flexible approach which has enabled the Centre to maintain its impressive completion rates
Areas Covered
The Centre's main office is in Dorset, but the Centre provides a national coverage across England. This is achieved through employing local assessors and verifiers in any area where training is required.
At present the Assessment Centre's work is in England, but it is hoped to extend services to the other 3 countries within the not too distant future.
