The Department of Health’s recruitment campaign for social care begins on 1st March 2008 and UKHCA is pleased to be working with the Department in promoting the campaign. The campaign is being hosted on the website www.socialworkandcare.co.uk and also has a national helpline 0845 604 6404. We will update this website with more information as the campaign progresses. You can download the most recent bulletin on the campaign and past bulletins which include information on top tips on recruitment from UKHCA member Care 4 You, winners of the Skills for Care Accolade 2007 for most innovative and effective recruitment initiative. They will also help their staff complete a recognised qualification in care within two and a half years of joining a homecare agency.
