Basic Costing Model for the Provision of Social Care

This costing model is designed to assist any provider in the calculation of a fair price for social care services. The model is designed to provide an indication of the rate to be charged and is not indicative of a definitive value

This model is to be used for a guide price only

The per hour model gives the opportunity of calculating a minimum acceptable charge per hour based on known variables. In addition by entering the offered commissioned rate, the impact of a surplus/deficit per hour is displayed. Use this module if, as an organisation, you are confident that realistic values are known, if not, use the breakeven module to calculate the appropriate values. The percentages shown are for guidance only and are not assumed to be actual.

The breakeven module allows for a comprehensive analysis of costs that can be used in providing information and data that can be used for per hour module.

The cells shaded in yellow are for the input of data. This data is used in calculations and the results are shown in the olive green cell.
