UKHCA responds to House of Lords inquiry into funding challenges facing England 12/10/2018

UKHCA has responded to another parliamentary call for evidence on social care funding, this time from the House of Lords Economic Affairs Committee. The Committee asked for views on the funding challenges for social care in England, and how they could be overcome. Questions included why successive governments have been reluctant to address challenges in the delivery of social care, how a sustainable funding model for social care could be supported by a diverse and stable market be created, how the cost of the provision of social care could be fairly distributed, and what lessons could be learnt from elsewhere in the United Kingdom, or from other countries, in how they approach social care.
