UKHCA Commissioning Survey 2011

This briefing is based on a survey of homecare providers in 2011 demonstrating the impact of local authority commissioning practices on those people using homecare services.

We found that up to 82% of councils were reducing how much care they would pay for, and reducing the number of homecare visits people receive. 58% of councils appeared to have cut the price they pay independent and voluntary sector providers for homecare.
