The homecare sector uses a variety of patterns of employment for staff who care for people in their own home. Some careworkers are employed by the homecare provider or agency, and some are supplied as agency workers for employment by the service user. In other cases workers are self-employed. It is vital to know the employment correct status of the worker, for the reasons explained by Anthony Collins Solicitors LLP in this factsheet.
