Front cover of UKHCA Market Stability Survey

UKHCA Market Stability Survey 2015

The stability of the social care provider market is a critical concern for providers, regulators and Government. Persistent underfunding of homecare services has been repeatedly reported by UKHCA. This briefing provides further evidence of the risk of widespread failure in local care markets, in the absence of adequate funding, and independent and voluntary sector homecare providers beginning to turn away uneconomic local authority business. The survey was undertaken by UKHCA with UK homecare agencies at a local level, in advance of the Spending Review 2015, and in conjunction with ITV’s “Tonight” programme.
