The State of Homecare in Northern Ireland

It has been widely reported that the rates paid for homecare in Northern Ireland are amongst the lowest in the UK.

UKHCA have produced this report to give an overview of the current state of homecare in Northern Ireland, highlighting the key issues, their implications and our recommendations to Government, commissioners and the regulator in the province to remedy the serious issues faced by the sector.

We hope this report will be of use to providers who are making the case to Trusts about the problem with very low fee rates for homecare, policy makers, market consultants and journalists.
