The Local Government Association has warned that the '£8 billion funding black hole by 2025 will swallow up popular council services', like leisure and cultural facilities, bus services, and park services, as councils struggle to meet rising demand for statutory services like those for children, adult social care and the homeless. The LGA has launched a campaign for more public funding from the Treasury, as it considers the upcoming Spending Review.
