Public satisfaction levels continue to fall in health and social carePublic satisfaction levels continue to fall in health and social care

The King’s Fund and Nuffield Trust analysis of NatCen Social Research’s BSA survey data shows that satisfaction with social care services provided by local authorities was 26%, and dissatisfaction, 34% in 2018. Analysts noted there was a lack of public understanding about social care services and about which were funded by local authorities; most respondents also may not have experience of using services. They concluded the exact reasons for low satisfaction were probably due to problems of access and quality. The study, which covered England, Scotland and Wales, found that public satisfaction with the NHS continued to fall in 2018.
