New Ombudsman report on lessons learnt from adult social care complaintsNew Ombudsman report on lessons learnt from adult social care complaints

The Local Government and Social Care Ombudsman has published a new report, 'Caring about complaints: lessons learned from our independent care provider investigations'.

The report takes stock of the Ombudsman's experience of nearly ten years of investigating complaints about independent care providers. It highlights common issues from the investigations including a lack of clear information about fees, charges and contracts, problems with billing and invoices, and dealing with challenging behaviour from friends and relatives.

The full report can be downloaded from the LGO website.
