NHS mandate to be joint documentNHS mandate to be joint document

In answer to a Parliamentary question on why Government has not yet produced its 2019 NHS mandate on funding and objectives (required before the start of the financial year under the Health Act 2012), the Government explained this is to be a joint document with the annual NHS Improvement remit letter, called an accountability framework. The document will set one-year transitional objectives to allow the NHS time to implement the Long-Term Plan.

The Health and Social Care committee is due to hear evidence on the NHS Long-term Plan: legislative proposals inquiry on 30 April 2019: https://www.parliament.uk/business/committees/committees-a-z/commons-select/health-and-social-care-committee/inquiries/parliament-2017/nhs-legislation-inquiry-17-19/
