Medication - CQC publish new report on learning from medication errorsMedication - CQC publish new report on learning from medication errors

A new report published by the Care Quality Commission, (CQC), looked at 55 inspection reports from residential and homecare providers where medication related issues gave inspectors cause for concern.

UKHCA recommends members read and digest this report given the high priority CQC are giving to medication during the inspection process. Deficiencies in safe administration of medicines are not only a risk to service users but could well lead to enforcement action which could jeopardise the viability of your service.
