NHS Plan will falter without more social care fundingNHS Plan will falter without more social care funding

A new briefing by the Health Foundation and NHS Confederation warns the NHS Long Term Plan will be jeopardised unless more funding is found for social care and public health. The briefing notes the Plan was developed expecting a sustainable settlement for social care and action to prevent ill health. Social care alone is likely to have a funding gap of £4.4 bn in England in 2023/24 unless action is taken.
