Additional funding available for domiciliary care workforce training in NIAdditional funding available for domiciliary care workforce training in NI

Transformation Funding has been made available for Phase 2 of the 'Training for the Domiciliary Care Workforce Project'. This fund is available to facilitate enhanced learning and development to domiciliary careworkers, supervisors and managers working in the statutory and independent sectors.

Funding is available from the Social Care Council for backfill/staff costs for voluntary and private domiciliary care providers/employers to facilitate staff attendance, participation and engagement in approved training/learning resources. For organisations that find backfill problematic, costs can be claimed for staff time in attendance at/time spent re approved training/learning resources.
