Regular voluntary overtime must be included in holiday payRegular voluntary overtime must be included in holiday pay

The Court of Appeal has held that UK employers must include regular voluntary overtime and non-guaranteed overtime in holiday pay calculations, in a case concerning ambulance workers. The ruling applies to statutory leave workers are due under the European Working Time Directive (20 days), rather than the extra eight days workers are due under UK law and any extra contractual leave.
