Former Ulster Unionist Party leader Robin Swann MLA was appointed Health Minister, when the Northern Ireland Assembly sat for the first time in three years on 11 January. The restoration of government follows the draft deal, New Decade, New Approach.

Colin Angel, UKHCA Policy and Campaigns Director, said: "The formation of a government in Northern Ireland is welcome. Ministers must ensure that the social care and health system receives urgent attention and long-delayed plans for reform are implemented."
