Supreme Court judges hear sleep-in argumentsSupreme Court judges hear sleep-in arguments

On 12 and 13 February the Supreme Court heard an appeal which is set to decide whether careworkers should be paid National Minimum Wage while asleep on a sleep-in shift.

Arguments were heard for the appellant, Claire Tomlinson-Blake (backed by Unison), and the respondent, The Royal Mencap Society. The Court is expected to take at least three months to make a decision ie by early summer at the earliest.
