PPE portal - maximum order levels for masks, aprons and gloves increasedPPE portal - maximum order levels for masks, aprons and gloves increased

There have been some changes to the PPE portal emergency top-up system for domiciliary social care providers (99 clients or fewer) in England.

Domiciliary care providers with 20 to 99 clients can now order 300 IIR masks, 600 aprons and 1,200 gloves (600 pairs) per week from the PPE portal. Those with fewer than 20 clients can order 200 IIR masks, 400 aprons and 800 gloves (400 pairs) per week.

Provider, who need to be invited to join the portal, can now place multiple orders weekly, up to the limits above. They should continue using business-as-usual and wholesaler routes to access PPE and only use the PPE portal for additional PPE, if needed. PPE ordered from the portal is free.

Guidance, PPE portal: how to order emergency personal protective equipment, updated 29 June 2020.
