Outdoor visitors now permitted in Scotland's care homesOutdoor visitors now permitted in Scotland's care homes

A phased plan has been issued on visiting in care homes in Scotland, with residents able to receive visitors outside from 3 July.

The accompanying guidance says relaxation of visiting restrictions will proceed through two further stages, moving from outdoor visiting to indoor visiting by one designated person and eventually to a controlled programme of outdoor and indoor visiting.

Other documents include guidance on what precautions will be taken to safeguard the safety of residents, visitor and staff, a letter from the Cabinet Secretary for Health, FAQs and a leaflet for visitors.
