Funding for independent domiciliary care providers extended by one month in Northern IrelandFunding for independent domiciliary care providers extended by one month in Northern Ireland

The Minister of Health has approved a further month's financial support for independent providers who are contracted to Health and Social Care Trusts. This will cover July 2020 and facilitate the continuation of salary contributions in circumstances where employees are required to self-isolate or work from home.

Providers must keep records of staff paid as a direct result of COVID-19 issues and ensure these records are available after the period of disruption.

Health and Social Care Trusts have been asked to write to domiciliary care agencies /providers urgently, with the terms of the extended funding.

The original funding arrangement was set out in Guidance in respect of financial support, reporting and monitoring for Domiciliary Care Agencies /Providers.
