Guidance on apprenticeships in England updatedGuidance on apprenticeships in England updated

The guidance on managing apprenticeships during the COVID 19 outbreak has been updated in England. Funding arrangements from August 2020 have also been confirmed.

The funding arrangements feature some further details on the grant payment announced in the Chancellor's 'Plan for Jobs' last week. Claims can be made by employers in relation to apprentices from 1 September 2020 via the apprenticeship service. The grant will be £2000 for apprentices aged 16-24 and £1,500 for apprentices aged 25 and over. It will be paid directly to the employer in two equal installments where the apprentcie is still in learning at day 90 and at day 365.
