Local measures recommended in Blackburn with DarwenLocal measures recommended in Blackburn with Darwen

Blackburn with Darwen's Director of Public Health has announced new local measures to help control the spread of Coronavirus, as there has been a rise in cases locally. The measures are intended to help avoid a local lockdown like that imposed in Leicester recently, and include:

  • A limit of two people from the same household allowed to visit another household
  • Wearing cloth face coverings in all enclosed public spaces
  • Greeting and embracing should be by elbow bump
  • Support for small shops with public health advice
  • Targeted and expanded testing.
