Message in Northern Ireland is to avoid complacency about virusMessage in Northern Ireland is to avoid complacency about virus

The Department of Health is sending out a strong message that everyone in Northern Ireland must avoid being complacent about the risks of coronavirus, and stick to social distancing and hand washing with the same rigour as at the start of the pandemic.

The Covid-19 cluster in the Limavady area is cited by the Public Health Agency as an example of the need for vigilance.

Local lockdowns have not been ruled out if new cases rise in particular areas in future.
