Testing now available for under 5s with symptoms in ScotlandTesting now available for under 5s with symptoms in Scotland

The First Minister has announced that children who are under age 5 are eligible for testing from 22 July, if they have COVID-19 symptoms. Routine testing is available through drive-in Regional Testing Centres, Mobile Testing Units and by ordering a home test kit. Testing for all children under 11 years old should be completed by their parent or carer.

The expansion of testing comes as childcare resumes. Testing was previously only available for special cases.
