Skin care creams and lotions - Guidance for Homecare ProvidersSkin care creams and lotions - Guidance for Homecare Providers

UKHCA has updated its guidance on emollients. The updated version reflects the latest advice the Medicine and Healthcare Products Agency who refer to skin care creams and lotions rather than emollients. The guidance covers the use of skin care creams and lotions in a homecare setting and is particularly concerned with identifying and minimising the risks associated with their use. The guidance was prepared for UKHCA members with advice from the London Fire Brigade and is intended for domiciliary care providers generally.

The freely downloadable document, is intended to be guidance rather than instructions for those providing homecare.
