Minister gives update on developments in Northern IrelandMinister gives update on developments in Northern Ireland

Health Minister Robin Swann gave Northern Ireland’s MPs an update on recent developments on COVID-19 on 28 July, including travel regulations, where a 14-day quarantine period has been re-introduced for people arriving from Spain, a planned programme of COVID-19 testing for all residents (monthly) and staff (fortnightly) in ‘green homes’ which do not have a confirmed outbreak of COVID-19, contact tracing and the new smartphone app.

With regard to rebuilding capacity, rebuilding plans issued by Health and Social Care Trusts on 10 July, covering the three months until end September, will be followed by further successive three month plans.

Work is also work is underway to develop regional approaches to service delivery across a range of areas.
