Local lockdown in AberdeenLocal lockdown in Aberdeen

First Minister Nicola Sturgeon has announced a lockdown in Aberdeen due to a local coronavirus outbreak. Pubs and restaurants have to shut by 5.00 pm and remain closed for at least seven days.

People are being told not to go to Aberdeen, and residents should not go more than five miles for leisure purposes, or into each others' houses. Only travel for work or education is allowed.

The lockdown will be reviewed in seven days and may be extended.
