Updates on NHS test and trace in EnglandUpdates on NHS test and trace in England

NHS Test and Trace will be working more closely with local authorities public health teams in order to reach more people who have tested positive. This may include local teams visiting people if it is not possible to get hold of them in other ways.

Meanwhile, a new NHS Test and Trace app is being piloted in the Isle of Wight, Newham and with NHS Volunteer responders across England. The app would work in parallel with the existing Test and Trace system. As well as alerting people who have been in proximity to someone who tests positive, the app features include: alerts based on postcode, QR check-in at venues, a symptom checker and test booking. (Further information on the privacy of the app here).
