Social care recruitment campaign shows promising initial resultsSocial care recruitment campaign shows promising initial results

The Department of Health and Social Care's latest phase of the recruitment campaign has shown promising initial results, with over 920,000 new unique users to the campaign website and over 100,000 unique clicks on the 'Find a job' button between 23 April and 10 July 2020.

The advertising part of the campaign has now come to an end and an evaluation overview will be shared soon.

Going forward, DHSC is asking employers in England to make sure vacancies are posted on DWP's 'Find a Job' while interest is still high. Instructions here.

There are digital resources for urgent recruitment to support your local recruitment activities at the resource centre.

There is a dedicated app for the adult social care workers with access to mental health and wellbeing support and free apps on maintaining sleep and reducing anxiety. To download, search 'Care Workforce' on Google Play or Apple App Store.

Wellbeing support helpline - the Samaritans offer a confidential emotional support line for all social care staff, free to access from 7am-11pm, seven days a week. Call 0300 131 7000.
