CQC: now, next and the futureCQC: now, next and the future

Care Quality Commission Chief Executive, Ian Trenholm, discusses the immediate priorities for CQC, and what's coming next in his recent blog.

From September CQC is introducing a Transitional Regulatory Approach. Ian Trenholm says this means evolving the approach used in the Emergency Support Framework to look more at issues that concern people, developing clear areas of focus for monitoring, based on existing Key Lines of Enquiry (KLOE), specifically targeting safety, access and leadership, and later, improvement cultures.

CQC will be consulting on their future strategy in January 2021, with participatory opportunities before then.
