Community flow testing is being expanded in local authorities in England to test people without symptoms, targeted on people who cannot work from home during lockdown.
NHS Test and Trace is to work with each local authority on an expanded community testing plan. 131 local authorities have signed up to the scheme, with 107 already having started.
NHS Test and Trace is also working closely with other government departments to scale up workforce testing, with pilots taking place with larger employers.
Community testing employs the faster lateral flow testing, rather than the more accurate swab testing used in the testing of the homecare workforce.
More information: Asymptomatic testing to be rolled out across the country starting this week
