The Scottish Social Services Council have issued information on vaccinations. While encouraging care workers to get the vaccine, and providing further information, the information confirms that where registered workers are not able or decide not to have the vaccine this will not affect their registration status. It reminds care workers of the importance of maintainig other infection control measures, even if vaccinated, such as using the appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

They have also published guidance on the use of the Flexible Workforce Development Fund for employers in Scotland. This can be used by organisations with under 250 employees for learning delivered by colleges or The Open University or by employers who pay the UK Government Apprenticeship Levy, for learning delivered by colleges or independent training providers
