Government urges those aged 70 and over to book a COVID-19 vaccinationGovernment urges those aged 70 and over to book a COVID-19 vaccination

The Government is urging people who do not already have an appointment to book a vaccination if they are aged 70 or over, or clinically extremely vulnerable. They do not need to wait for a letter.

The suggested way is through the National Booking Service, online at nhs.uk. Or people who are not online can call 119 or their local GP practice.

Health and Social Care Secretary's statement on coronavirus (COVID-19): 8 February 2021

This applies in England. Other arrangements apply in the devolved nations.
