The Transport Secretary, Michael Matheson, has said that all international arrivals to Scottish airports would need to quarantine in managed hotel facilities from Monday 15 February. Arrangements for costs, possible exemptions and a welfare fund to support those unable to pay are being considered.
This goes further than arrangements proposed in England that cover mandatory hotel isolation only for travellers from countries on the travel ban list.
