Announcement - UKHCA – Appointment of Finance and Corporate Services DirectorAnnouncement - UKHCA – Appointment of Finance and Corporate Services Director

Last year, United Kingdom Homecare Association’s (UKHCA’s) Finance and Corporate Services Director, Peter Randall, indicated his intention to retire on 31 March 2021, after nearly 22 years of valuable and committed service to the Association.

Following national advertising, executive search and a thorough recruitment process, we are delighted to announce the appointment of Keith Williams as UKHCA’s new Finance and Corporate Services Director.

Keith is a highly experienced and senior Finance and Corporate Services Director who has worked in the not-for-profit, charitable and commercial sectors.

Keith is currently Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at the London Grid for Learning, a charity which is the leading provider of broadband services to schools and local authorities in London and the Home Counties.

Before this, Keith was Finance Director at the National Education Union, the 4th largest trade union in the UK, with more than 500,000 members and income of over £50m from membership fees and commercial revenues.

Much of Keith’s earlier career was spent in the private healthcare sector, at the London Clinic and St Martin’s Healthcare Ltd.

As CFO at the London Clinic, London’s largest independent multi-site private healthcare facility, with a turnover of more than £140m, Keith drove a £75m capital expansion programme. This included a new Cancer Centre and introduction of robotic surgery technology in the hospitals.

Keith trained at Deloitte and is a qualified Chartered Accountant.

UKHCA’s Chair, Dominique Kent said:

“Warm thanks to Peter Randall for his dedication to UKHCA over many years. We are really pleased to welcome Keith Williams who brings strong skills and experience to contribute to our work”.

UKHCA’s CEO Jane Townson said:

“The retirement of our Finance and Corporate Service Director, Peter Randall, after over two decades of dedicated service, feels like the end of an era and his are big shoes to fill. We are, however, delighted to announce the appointment of Keith Williams as Peter’s successor. Keith’s background, skills, experience and personal attributes will enable him to make a valuable contribution to the work of the Association and we very much look forward to welcoming him to our team on 22 March 2021.”

Keith Williams said:

“The ongoing pandemic has highlighted how important the homecare sector is to those being supported and to wider society and at the same time how undervalued it has been historically. I am greatly looking forward to the opportunity to help redress this balance by bringing the skills and experience I have acquired throughout my career so far to UKHCA.”
