Furlough scheme extended in today's BudgetFurlough scheme extended in today's Budget

Chancellor of the Exchequer, Rishi Sunak, has announced that the Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme (the furlough scheme) will be extended until the end of September, in the Budget. The scheme pays 80% of employees' wages up to a maximum of £2,500 per month if they cannot work due to the pandemic. Employers will have to pay 10% towards this in July, rising to 20% in August and September.
