Senior care workers and domiciliary care managers added to the Shortage Occupation ListSenior care workers and domiciliary care managers added to the Shortage Occupation List

Senior care workers and domiciliary care managers have been added to the Shortage Occupation List.

Commenting on the news, UKHCA's Policy Director Colin Angel said:

"We are pleased the Government has taken on board the recommendations of the Migration Advisory Committee and will add senior care workers and domiciliary care managers to the Shortage Occupation List. This will help solve part of a much larger issue which we have called on Government to address for a long time. This will be extremely useful for some social care employers, who should now find it easier in sourcing candidates from outside the UK for hard-to-fill roles, including live-in homecare."
