Further easing of lockdown in England from 12 April and universal testing offerFurther easing of lockdown in England from 12 April and universal testing offer

In England, the Government has confirmed a further easing of Covid restrictions from 12 April, when more businesses and venues can reopen. It has also published a Roadmap Reviews: Update on:

  • COVID-Status Certification Review
  • Global Travel Taskforce
  • Events Research Programme
  • Social Distancing Review

The reviews will inform Government decision making on future lockdown easing.

In addition, twice weekly rapid testing is to be available free to everyone in England from 9 April. This does not replace guidance to social care organisations on staff testing, which is summarised here.
