The following does not replace the organisation testing arrangements for social care employers, which are summarised here.

However, care providers should be aware that from today, 9 April, anyone in England who do not have COVID-19 symptoms can obtain free 30-minute lateral flow tests so they can do twice a week testing.

These can be done at home, as well as through employers and test sites. People can collect up to 2 packs of 7 tests from a local pharmacy or test site:

People can also order a pack of 7 tests sent to their home. Order rapid lateral flow home test kits on GOV.UK If testing is done at home, the results should be reported online or by phone.
