Social Care 360 report paints bleak picture of adult social care in EnglandSocial Care 360 report paints bleak picture of adult social care in England

The King's Fund Social Care 360 report, which uses data from 2019/20 to describe key trends in adult social care and the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, shows demand was increasing but receipt of long-term care was falling.

Between 2015/16 and 2019/20, 120,000 more people requested social care support but around 14,000 fewer people received either long- or short-term support.

The report says many key indicators were already going in the wrong direction before the pandemic and highlights priorities for improving and reforming the sector.
