The UK Chief Medical Officers (CMOs) have issued a joint statement recommending the UK COVID-19 alert level moves from level 4 to level 3, meaning the virus is still in general circulation, but some of the previous pressures have eased.

CMOs say it is very important we all continue to be vigilant, follow the guidance closely and everyone gets both doses of the vaccine when they are offered it.
