PPE: Public Health Wales have published a new document that aims to answer some of the commonly asked questions about PPE for domiciliary care which is available here. It covers questions such as when PPE should be changed and when eye protection is needed.

New £3m respite fund: the Welsh Government have announced an additional £3m fund to support short breaks for informal carers in Wales. Press release. Written statement.

Care Stars: Social Care Wales are calling for nominations of outstanding care workers who've made a positive impact in people's lives during the pandemic for Care Stars 2021. Nominations are open until 23 June. Find out more.

Vaccine Strategy update: the Welsh Government have provided an update on their vaccine strategy. This includes a broad outline of plans for phase 3, once the vaccine has been offered to all over 18s. The elements being considered for phase 3 include booster vaccines, vaccinations for under 18s (which will be based on JCVI recommendations, when they are published), re-offering the vaccine to those that haven't had it and offering second doses to those that haven't had them.
