Easing of COVID-19 restrictions postponed in ScotlandEasing of COVID-19 restrictions postponed in Scotland

The First Minister has confirmed that easing of restrictions in Scotland has been postponed to 19 July in the light of an increasing number of COVID-19 cases, and to allow those over 40 to be fully vaccinated.

From then, the hope is all of Scotland will move to level zero, with some changes to the rules on outdoor gatherings.

Further easing is planned from 9 August, subject to the data. Face masks, Test and Protect, regular testing and self isolation, especially after a positive test, are likely to continue for the time being.
