Date: Thursday, 25 May 2017
Time: 10:30am–4pm. Registration begins at 10am with refreshments.
Venue: Cardiff Marriott Hotel (Google Maps)

WalesForumWhat do forthcoming legislative changes mean for domiciliary care services in Wales? Do you still need to think about forthcoming EU data protection regulations? What does outcomes-based commissioning mean for you and your business?

This event is free for UKHCA members and prospective members. Concessions available.

It's going to be a year of change for domiciliary care providers in Wales. The Welsh Government and Social Care Wales (SCW) will be rolling-out further changes under the two major Acts meaning important considerations for providers over the coming months.

Key benefits include:

  • a chance to hear from key sector representatives
  • time set apart to raise your questions and comments to speakers
  • lunch with refreshments throughout the day
  • lots of opportunity to network with other delegates

As well as the wider issues, it will also be a chance to look closely at practicalities surrounding outcomes-based commissioning and new data protection regulations.

We are delighted that:

  • Rebecca Evans, Minister for Social Services and Public Health, Welsh Government
  • David Francis, Assistant Chief Inspector, CSSIW
  • Sheila Lyons and Stephanie Griffiths, Sector Leads, Social Care Wales
  • Bruce McLernon OBE, Chair, National Provider Forum
  • Professor Keith Moultrie, Institute of Public Care, Oxford Brookes University
  • Helen Thomas, Senior Policy Officer, Information Commissioner's Office
